Deletion

A parent or child asks the school. The school uses the erasure control on the student’s page. This site does not collect a parent’s contact details on a form.

Erasure removes the child’s name, the quote text, and the reflections immediately. The display name becomes “Former student”. Those quotes leave the class feed. Reactions by that child are deleted.

Safety reports and audit records stay as nameless tombstones for 15 months so an investigation is not silently destroyed, then a scheduled job deletes them. Host backups may keep copies until the host’s backup window passes.

Archive is different. It pauses sign-in and keeps the name so the class journal still reads clearly.
